Who We Are

Shirdi Sai Global Foundation is a public charitable trust registered in the year 2010. Since its inception the foundation has been undertaking various activities pertaining to philanthropy, community development, spiritualism and promotion of Indian culture. It’s motto is to adhered to the Path of spiritualism shown by the 19th – 20th century saint Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi. Under the inspiration and guidance of the Founder Chairman of the Foundation, Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, various initiatives are carried out by groups of like-minded volunteers, dedicated to the objectives and goals of the Foundation. The Foundation has also been providing leadership, guidance and assistance to other associated organisations who share it’s vision and mission all over the globe.

Shri Shirdi Sai Baba was first seen in Shirdi, a remote village in the Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra in the second half of 19th century and left his body on the 15th of October 1918. During the period of his stay in Shirdi, thousands of people flocked to this, otherwise unknown, village every year to meet Baba and find solution for their various mundane and spiritual needs. Baba, being the perfect personification of grace and love, served everyone who came to him, till he left his mortal body. Today the Samadhi (Tomb) of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba at Shirdi has become a place of world Pilgrimage. The exponential growth of the number and activities of Shirdi Sai Baba devotees and temples is phenomenal.

Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy is a noted scholar, spiritual thinker, author and a humanitarian. The year 1989 marked a turning point in his life when he visited the Holy Shrine of Shri Sai Baba located in Shirdi (Maharashtra). Ever since, Dr Satpathy has been spreading the teachings and philosophy of Shri Shirdi Sai and Indian philosophy assiduously over a span of 25 years, not only in India but in other countries as well. Under his inspiration and guidance, more than two hundred centres and forums devoted to philanthropy, community development, spiritualism and promotion of Indian culture, are active in countries like India, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other places including some of the European countries.
